The Tramex MEX5 is a digital, non-destructive moisture and humidity meter designed for building and home inspections. It measures moisture content in wood and drywall, and provides comparative readings for various building materials such as roofing, plaster, tile, and masonry. The MEX5 features dual-depth measurement, penetrating up to 1¼” (30mm) deep and ⅜” (9mm) shallow, to compare surface and core moisture. It includes a built-in hygrometer, infrared surface thermometer, and supports optional external probes for in-situ relative humidity and wood measurements. All readings can be visualized, geotagged, and shared via the Tramex Meters App. The MEX5 is equipped with a variety of features for precise moisture and humidity assessment. These include LED indicators for moisture levels, psychrometric evaluations, emissivity adjustment, and temperature correction. It supports multiple external probes and electrodes for versatile testing. The meter is powered by two included AALR6 alkaline batteries and has a digital display measuring 2.3” x 1.4” (58mm x 35mm). The Tramex MEX5 is suitable for professionals in building moisture inspection and restoration. It is ideal for surveying moisture and humidity conditions in building structures, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements for informed decision-making. The Tramex MEX5 is constructed with an ABS body, measures 7.1” x 3.4” x 1.6” (180mm x 85mm x 40mm), and weighs 10.22 oz (290g). It offers humidity accuracy of 0% → 99%RH ± 2% @ 25°C / 77°F, and supports a range of moisture content and relative humidity measurements.
