Hydroxyl or ozone, which do I use for smoke odor?

Hydroxyl generators are safe to run in occupied spaces, so they are the default when the structure is occupied. Ozone is faster but must never run around people, pets, or plants, so this tool offers it only for a vacant structure and reminds you to ventilate before re-entry. Both are sized to the treated volume.

How many air scrubbers does a smoke job need?

Compute room volume (length x width x height), multiply by the target air changes per hour, and divide by 60 for required CFM, then divide by a stocked scrubber’s rated airflow. This tool uses 4, 6, or 8 ACH by severity and pairs an activated-carbon HEPA filter, because carbon adsorbs the odor and VOCs a plain HEPA filter passes through.
