The FallTech 8240 ElasTech single-leg lanyard provides a 4-1/2' to 6' variable working length and shock absorption for enhanced fall protection and user comfort.
Designed for facility managers and safety professionals needing fall protection, the FallTech 8240 ElasTech Single-Leg Shock Absorbing Lanyard combines variable fall arrest distance with enhanced user comfort. Its elastic leg construction extends from 4-1/2' to 6', minimizing tripping hazards while allowing for greater freedom of movement. The high-modulus internal elastic material expands and contracts effortlessly, maintaining elasticity longer than traditional woven lanyards.
The lanyard features a full-length internal energy absorber, providing a low-profile design for improved comfort compared to conventional pack-style absorbers. Durable tubular polyester webbing resists abrasion and UV degradation, ensuring long-lasting performance. Alloy steel snap hooks are included for secure connections to both the harness and anchorage points.
This lanyard meets ANSI Z359.13-2013 standards and is suitable for a variety of applications where fall protection is required. It’s constructed with polyester webbing (5,000 lb min. static strength) and connectors of plated alloy steel (5,000 lb min. static strength, 3,600 lb gate strength). The maximum arrest force is 900 lb, with an average arrest force of 1,800 lb and a maximum arrest distance of 48”. User capacity ranges from 130 to 310 lb max., compliant with both ANSI and OSHA standards.
